Online Informational Session: BIOS in Stone Fruit 

Do you commercially grow stone fruit in El Dorado, Amador, Calaveras, or Tuolumne counties? We are looking for growers to participate in an upcoming Biologically Integrated Orchard Systems (BIOS) project on stone fruit production, led by UCCE and Community Alliance with Family Farmers (CAFF).  

 

We have a webinar on June 16th to discuss the project. Participating growers will receive financial support to implement and evaluate alternative pest management practices on their farms.

🚒 Assistance to Firefighters Grant (AFG) Now Accepting Applications 🚒

The U.S. Department of Homeland Security (FEMA) is accepting applications for the FY 2025 Assistance to Firefighters Grant (AFG) program. This funding supports fire departments, tribal governments, and nonaffiliated EMS organizations with equipment, PPE, training, wellness programs, facility improvements, vehicles, and regional projects. The application period is open from May 19, 2026 at 8:00 a.m. ET through June 22, 2026 at 5:00 p.m. ET, with funding decisions anticipated by September 30, 2026. This is a strong opportunity to support local fire agencies and first responder capacity.
