Healthcare Educational Pathways
for the Sierras

Columbia College offers a range of healthcare education pathways. Their offerings range from pre-nursing and public health to phlebotomy and the newly launched Medical Assistant program. In partnership with Modesto Junior College, Columbia also hosts an on-campus RN cohort. New short-term, non-credit options are expanding access to in-demand careers in the Sierra region.

Cerro Coso Community College offers a variety of healthcare and human services programs, including certificates and associate degrees in Medical Assisting, Emergency Medical Technician, Vocational Nursing, Addiction Counseling, Nutrition, and more. These flexible options are designed to meet the growing demand for healthcare professionals in rural communities.
Modesto Junior College’s School of Health Professions offers some of the most comprehensive healthcare training in the region, including programs in Registered Nursing, Vocational Nursing, Respiratory Care (AS & BS), Medical Assisting, Nurse Assistant, and Pharmacy Technician. With strong clinical partnerships and a commitment to meeting local healthcare needs, MJC prepares students for meaningful careers that strengthen community health.
