The Footprint:Β Clearing operations target right-of-ways adjacent to energized power lines throughout Amador, Calaveras, Tuolumne, and Mariposa countiesΒ (plus surrounding District 10 areas).

πŸ›οΈ Calaveras County Public Hearing:Β The Calaveras County Board of Supervisors will hold a public hearing on May 26, 2026, at 9:00 AMΒ at the County Chambers in San Andreas. This session covers regional zoning, landscape maintenance, and local infrastructure projects. πŸ’§ Upper Mokelumne River Watershed Authority (UMRWA):Β UMRWA operates under a USFS Master Stewardship Agreement across the Eldorado and Stanislaus National Forests.

The Pipeline: The U.S. Forest Service officially approved the Mokelumne Amador Calaveras (MAC) Forest Resilience Project on April 17, 2026. While early planning estimated 225,000 acres, the finalized Environmental Impact Statement expands the project footprint to exactly 246,838 acres. This massive initiative will bring extensive thinning, commercial timber harvest, mastication, and fuelbreak construction contracts to Amador and Calaveras counties across the Eldorado and Stanislaus National Forests. Agreement Update:Β UMRWA is actively coordinating the renewal of its core regional MSA with federal partners to ensure a continuing vehicle for long-term project planning and regional contracting.
